Skyward Africa Launches Space Salon in Washington, DC
Skyward Africa will host the Skyward Africa Space Salon: Africa in Orbit – Space Power, Security & Diaspora Talent on March 26, 2026, in Washington, DC. The event will convene policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, and diaspora innovators to explore Africa’s expanding role in the global space economy and opportunities for international collaboration.
As African nations invest in satellite infrastructure, earth observation, and space-enabled services, new opportunities are emerging for partnerships with the United States and global commercial actors.
The salon will examine themes including:
• Space diplomacy and international cooperation
• Commercial opportunities in Africa’s space sector
• National security and space policy
• The role of African diaspora talent in the global space ecosystem
The event is hosted by Skyward Africa, an initiative of Asha Strategies, a U.S.–Africa policy and strategic advisory firm.
